Abstract
Huzur romanını bir tenakuz fikriyle okumak elbette faydadan hali değildir. Huzur denilen kavramın çerçevesini bu yolla da çizmek mümkün; fakat romanda doğrudan huzurun göstergesi olan figüratif özelliklere bakarak daha ayrıntılı bir çerçeve çizilebilir. Tüm dünyayı ihtiraslı bir arayışa yönlendiren bu kelime, bütün iştiyakların kaynağıdır dense yanlış olmaz. Başlı başına adıyla huzurun kitabı olan Huzur romanı da bu en primitif arayışın mücessem halidir. Huzuru, huzursuzluk olarak ifade eden Moran endişeye dayalı bir huzursuzluktan bahsederken bu durumu, var olan mutluluk halinin elbet bir gün nihayet bulacağının kaçınılmaz hakikatine dayandırır. Romanda teklif edilen huzur; arada kalma, her güzel şeyin sonunu korkuyla bekleme psikolojisinin hüküm sürdüğü olaylar zinciriyle bazen iç içe, bazen tamamen dışında yer alır. Toplamda yirmi dört saatlik bir zaman diliminde geçen romandaki olaylar, tüm fiktif zamana yayılan II. Dünya Savaşı beklentisi ve tedirginliği ile de bir dip endişe dalgasına maruz kalır. Roman kişileri her ne kadar kendi iktidarlarının uzağında gelişen bu olaya duyarsızmış gibi görünseler da bu endişe gerçektir ve zaman zaman kişilerin mutluluğunu gölgede bırakmıştır. Ebedi mutluluk yoktur, ebedi mutsuzluğun olmadığı gibi. Roman kişilerinde mutluluğu arama ve mutsuzluktan kaçma hali oldukça net bir şekilde gözlenmektedir. Burada mekânsal tasvirlerin ve bu tasvirlerin roman kurgusu içindeki işlevlerinin de amaçlanan huzurun tezahürü noktasında önemli bir yanı vardır. Yazar bu mekânları huzuru besleyen/ donatan bir figür olarak aldığı gibi bazen huzursuzluk psikolojisin dönüşümünün aktarıldığı bağıl değerlendirme göstergesi olarak da kullanmaktadır.
Çalışmada roman kişileri ve mekânlar üzerinden “huzur” anlamı irdelenecektir. Bu vesileyle romandaki ana karakterlerin birbirleriyle ve yaşadıkları mekânla olan münasebetleri kurmaca âlem, tasvirler ve bağlantılar üzerinden tespit edilecektir.

Of course, it is useful to read the novel of peace with an idea of conflict. It is possible to draw the frame of what is called peace in this way, but a clearer frame can be drawn by looking at the figurative features that are direct indicators of peace in the novel. this word is the source of all the passions that lead the whole world to a human quest. The novel Huzur, which is the book of peace with its own name, is the embodiment of this search. Moran expresses that it will be possible to read peace as restlessness. This state of restlessness is an anxiety-based restlessness. In other words, it is based on the inevitable truth that an ongoing state of happiness will one day finally come to an end. The peace offered in the novel; it is sometimes inside and sometimes completely outside of the chain of events in which the psychology of being in between, waiting for the end of every good thing with fear prevails. The events in the novel, which takes place in a total of twenty-four hours, are the events of the II. With the expectation and uneasiness of World War II, it is exposed to a deep wave of anxiety. Although the Romani people seem to be insensitive to this event that develops far from their own power, this concern is real and sometimes overshadowed the happiness of the people. There is no eternal happiness, just like there is no eternal unhappiness. The state of seeking happiness and escaping from unhappiness can be observed quite clearly in the characters of the novel. Here, the spatial descriptions and the functions of these descriptions in the fiction of the novel also have an important aspect in the manifestation of the intended peace. The author takes these spaces as a figure that nourishes/equips the peace, and sometimes also uses them as a dependent evaluation of the change in the psychology of restlessness.
In the study, the meaning of peace will be examined/detected through the characters and places of the novel. On this occasion, the relations of the main characters in the novel with each other and the place they live will be determined through the fictitious realm, descriptions and connections.
