Abstract
Bu çalışmada Muzaffer İZGÜ’nün kitaplarındaki söz sanatlarının metni anlama ve anlatmadaki yeri üzerinde durulmuştur. İlk olarak alfabetik bir sıra gözetilerek verilen söz sanatları ayrı ayrı açıklanmış, açıklamaların pekişmesi için de Muzaffer İZGÜ’nün kitaplarından seçilen örneklere; ayrıca değişik kaynaklardan yapılan alıntılara yer verilmiştir. Sonrasında söz sanatlarının öğrencilerin metinleri anlamaları üzerindeki etkisine, her bir sanatın içinde değinilmiştir. Böylelikle söz sanatlarının uygulamadaki önemi açıklanmıştır. Son bölüme gelindiğinde konuyla ilgili bilgilerden elde edilenler değerlendirilerek çalışma tamamlanmıştır.

Abstract
In this study, the role of the figures of speech in Muzaffer Izgü's books in comprehending and telling about the reading text is emphasized. Initially given in alphabetical order, the figures of speech are respectively explained and examples selected from Muzaffer izgü's books as well as quotations from various sources are given to reinforce the explanations. Then, the influence of the figures of speech on students' comprehending the reading texts is pointed out within each figure of speech. The importance of the figures of speech in practice is thus explained. In the final part the study is completed with the evaluation of what is obtained from the information related to the topic.
